Jordan Auctioneers successfully sold 104 acres by Public Auction on Monday last.
Before a large attendance of about 60 people the entire was offered for sale in several lots before being sold in its entirety for a price of €1,850,000 to a local farming family. There was strong interest in all the lots, but the combined package generated the best price with several active bidders.
The property was centrally located close to Kilcullen (7km), Newbridge (13km), Naas (19km) and Kildare Town (16km) with frontage onto the old Kilcullen – to Castledermot Road. The house comprised a traditional two storey farmhouse of circa 198 sq.m (2,131 sq.ft) with the adjoining yard a mixture of old stone buildings and a 4-span hay barn with 2 lean – to’s.
The land was mostly all in one block with extensive road frontage on two roads and several access points. It was currently a mix of grass and tillage and described as excellent quality.
